#No24

This Sunday we are showcasing Doug's 1996 Nissan Skyline R33 GTR V-SPEC.

About 12 years ago he decided to move to the UK, all the way from Texas, and at the same time he was looking at buying a fun RHD car to enjoy around, and this R33 was a perfect choice since it was rather affordable, as the 33's weren't as appreciated as they are nowadays. It was originally built by Garage Saurus, but later on, perfected to Doug's liking with the help of RK - tuning.

It's got a fully forged HKS Step 3 2.8L RB26, with a Precision 64-66 Turbo, that's much more responsive, paired with a 5-speed Giken gearbox. Although he downsized in turbo size, the car is still pushing 580whp. Suspension wise its on a set of Ikeya Formula adjustable suspension, sitting on a beautiful set of Work Meister S1's 3pcs wheels, which just clear the AP-Racing 6 pot brakes and the 370mm discs.

Some of you may be familiar with the Hicas delete on most 32 and 33 Skylines, well... this one still has the original. One really important feature about this car is the strut brace that also serves as an oil cooler, you don't see that very often!
